Crappy nurses suck. I'm actually looking at getting a blood sugar monitor so that I can determine my baseline myself (before pregnancy, if possible). And YES, metformin CAN cause hypoglycemia. Says so in the info package from Bristol Meyers Squibb. Take that, mr. dr. sir!
In the end, though, you and Leah are probably the best people to determine if something is wrong. I sorta could tell I was "off" but Brian pegged it to "The day after you up the dosage on the metformin, you drive like you're drunk." I've started a symptoms log now, to take to the dr. and see if we can figure out a way to keep the benefits of metformin (no sugar spikes = delay diabetes onset) without the side effects.
The muscle twitches in my legs are the weirdest feelings.
