Fucking *whimper*

Today's tally:

Two meetings.

Five, count them, FIVE new project proposals. Two that will probably end up in a major book, two that could impact other projects, and one that could cause hordes of IP lawyers worldwide to lie awake at night sweating bullets.

I like that last one.

I don't need minions, I need a minion army.

The ballad of Mr X

Mr X was amazing. He single handedly made a very profitable customer from a very profitable class of customers extrordinarily happy. So Mr X was given an army of minions to do his bidding to do that same for the whole class of customers. But Mr X wasn't happy, in fact it made him sad, because Mr X loved doing what he was good at, not managing an army of minions. So they hired a manager for Mr X. Now, armed with an army of minions and a manager of his own, Mr X was free to do what he loved, and nudge the direction of his minions, rather than managing them.

You need an army of minions *and* a manager who dotted line reports to you :)

Yeeeeeah, had a discussion today regarding the difference between 'Manager' and 'Team Leader'. ;)

Tech Leader. You want to be Tech Leader. Managers own people. Team Leaders usually have responsibilities for the project a team is on. Tech Leaders are responsible for stearing the *tech*.
